WQI 44 PLUS CHEMICAL INJECTION ANCHOR BOLT

Product Description:

The WQI 44 Plus Chemical Anchor is a two-component adhesive bonding system in vinyl ester. It has ETA certification, F120 and 180 reports, and LEED, making it suitable for all high responsibility fastenings, including cracked bases and earthquake regions. It is an extremely versatile product and, when used in conjunction with a threaded bar or construction rebar, it can be used for various fixing situations on solid and hollow bases.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • ETA International Certification;
  • F 120 report for threaded bar and F 180 for rebar;
  • High resistance to chemicals and bad weather;
  • Applicable in dry, humid and submerged holes*;
  • Fast curing;
  • Does not drip (applicable in holes in the ceiling);
  • Applied with standard studs, threaded rods, and rebars;
  • High strength and reliability fixation;
  • Meets static and dynamic loads;
  • Suitable for applications in solid and hollow bases**;
  • Styrene-free formula;
  • Does not create tension in the concrete, which allows for smaller distances between fixings;
  • Uses Walsywa 345 or 380 ml applicator;
  • Can be reused by changing the mixing nozzle.

*Submerged applications in fresh water only. Use up to Ø 5/8” (16 mm) rod.

**With the help of sleeves.

ASSEMBLY EXAMPLES

  • Fixation of metallic structures in general, machinery and equipment;
  • Fixing railings, handrails,stairs, and gates;
  • Fixing anchor bars;
  • Metal consoles;
  • Overhead cranes;
  • Fixing pull-outs (rebars).

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Image01: Methods of application on solid foundations (solid concrete, solid masonry and natural stone) 1 Drill the hole with the indicated diameter and depth;

Image02: 2 Inject air to remove excess powder from the hole;

Image03: 3 Thoroughly clean the hole with the aid of a brush, blow and brush until there is no more dust;

Image04: 4 Insert the mixing nozzle into the hole and fill ¾ of the total with resin;

Image05: 5 Insert the stud with a twisting motion;

Image06 6 Wait for the curing time recommended in the table;

Image07 7 After curing, position the element to be fixed and torque.

Image01: Application Methods – Hollow Bases (Hollow Masonry) 1 Drill the hole with the indicated diameter and depth;

Image02: 2 Insert the sleeve into the hole;

Image03: 3 Fill the sleeve cavity with resin from the bottom;

Image04: 4 Insert the stud with a twisting motion;

Image05: 5 Wait for the cure time, position the element to be clamped and torque.

NOTES

  • Other values can be found in document TR029 and in ETA certificate 12/0167 of WQI 44 Plus;
  • “Handling time” is the time in which it is possible to manipulate the product after mixed;
  • “Curing time” is the time when the resin “dries” completely and can receive loads;
  • Pullout tests must be done 24 hours after the final curing time;
  • After curing, keep at room temperature up to 40°C;
  • To know the ultimate load by traction and shear of the threaded rods.

IMPORTANT POINTS

  • Do not cut the mixing nozzle;
  • Clean the hole correctly as explained in the solid base application method;
  • At the time of application, the tube must have a temperature above 15°C;
  • Do not apply the product to holes drilled with a diamond hole saw. For this application, use the WQE 500 or WQE 500 Plus anchor bolts;
  • To design the chemical fixation, use the calculation document TR029 together with the ETA 12/0167;
  • To design the chemical fixation in seismic regions, use the calculation document TR045 together with ETA12/0167;
